The rental market is moving, but has been somewhat slow. There are more people renting properties today, although there are a lot more properties on the market for rent. This has been caused by all the changes in the housing market and sales being somewhat sluggish. Sellers are not getting the offers they want and are opting to rent out their properties. Their hopes are to ride out the sluggish market before selling.
The lenders have tightened up their belts on lending money, which in reality is a good thing. If you have good credit and about 10% or more for down payment, you can still get some really good loan packages from most lenders. Maybe you are thinking how to come up with extra cash to buy in today's Buyer's market. Have you thought about buying property using your ROTH IRA while the capital gains might be 100% tax free? That's right, you might want to talk to your financial advisor regarding this strategy.
My thoughts for 2008 is that it's going to be a slow real estate market. I think we might see another drop in the interest rate regarding the Fed's and it's going to be a great time to find some really good deals in the marketplace. If you are thinking you might want to start looking for some investments, please call our sales staff. They will be more than happy to assist you in achieving your future goals.
Best Wishes for 2008!
